Holt's Framing began as part of Holt's Art Shop in Whitehaven back in 1977. The picture framing side of the business proved so successful that I was taken on as a trainee picture framer in 1982. Since then we have moved into a large workshop at Haig Park Industrial Estate where we can still be found today. We have framed items for Art Exhibitions in the county, local council Offices, St. Bees School, as well as hundreds of individual members of the public.

 

In 2015 the owners of Holt's Art Shop decided to retire and I bought the framing side of the business, allowing me to retain the good name and quality that I had helped to build up over the years. Hence the new name, Holt’s Framing.

 

Holt's Framing make bespoke frames for a wide variety of different items, both large and small, from watercolours, oils, prints and embroideries through to medals and football shirts. We offer a wide range of mouldings and mount boards, 4 types of glass, plain, diffused, Tru Vue UV70 (water white glass, with minimal reflections) and Tru Vue Conservation Clear anti-UV. (Cuts out 99% of harmful ultraviolet light). All frames are finished ready to hang, right on to your wall.
